Life in the Trenches poems

These are some poems some people in Room 11 made. If you liked them, please leave a comment!

Life in the Trenches

The tears of soldiers pouring down their wounded faces as their shivering arms pull themselves away.

Bones snapping as soldiers scream all the anger out of themselves.

Fresh salty blood from my opponent.

The pongy stench of rotting vomit.

Blood oozing out of my sharpnel-filled body.

By Maria.

Blood oozing out of my friend’s leg as he shouts for help.

The wailing voices of soldiers as they take their last breath.

The rancid bully beef is invading my tastebuds as I try to wash it down by drinking bitter tea.

The metallic smell of gunpowder fills up my nose.

Blood squirting out of my neck filthily as I feel myself drift off into darkness.

Goosebumps tingling up my spine as I see shrapnel explode in the grey, humid sky.

By Josh.

Tears prick my eyes as I glare at my best friend’s body that got shot my shrapnel.

The rotten buly beef comes spewing out of my bloody mouth.

The whimpering of the dead pierces my ears.

The beat of my pulse thumps all around my limp body.

The saltiness of my tears fills up my throat.

I run as fast as I can from the racing, explodin shrapnel.

By Jade.

Blood oozes out of the dead bodies.

Clouds of smoke appear from the explosions.

Generals are barking orders like distressed dogs.

The foul bitter mud flies into my mouth.

A spike of shrapnel hits my body.

The pongy smell of rotten cheese fills my nostrils.

My heart pounded as I took my very last breath.

By Brieanna.
