Bye Birkenhead (till next time)

Mariah finishes her race!

On Friday last week all of the senior syndicate children and selected middle syndicate children went to Birkenhead Leisure Centre for swimming sports. All of the children had to compete in either a width or length race.We did the width races first then the length races. Room 11 was cheering for their classmates! Here are some feelings of people before and after their races.......

*I was nervous and scared being called to the finals and it made me have the butterflies but at the end I was proud of myself and what I had achieved. I felt like a lock in me had unlocked and I wasn't afraid anymore!

*I felt pretty nervous but when I got in the water I felt excited!

*I was scared and nervous at the beginning but I was very proud at the end because I had tried my hardest and did my best!

*I felt tired and proud of myself at the end.

*I felt hungry!!! Tired and happy in myself.

*I had the butterflies before the race.

I was so scared at the start of the race!

I think everyone that did a race should feel proud and happy

with themselves.

At the end of the day everyone got to have free time in the pool. We all did a whirlpool that was really fun! Room 11 all had fun and did a great job swimming!
