Our Awesome Friend Jock the Dog!

On Thursday Mr Harper brought Jock in. We, Leiani and Cheralyn, were chosen meet them at the gate. We were waiting for them for quite a while and didn’t know that Jock and Colin were standing right behind us ... until we heard a dog puffing behind us! That was humiliating!!

While we were leading them to the music room, Jock started

to pull at the lead to go a different way because he goes through the

school to visit his girlfriend, Ruby.

When we got to the music room Jock got excited and started to jump up and pull on the lead to go to Leilani. Luckily Leilani

held him still and started to tickle him under the chin and he suddenly stayed calm! When Room 11 got to the music room Jock started getting impatient. When they all sat down Mr Harper started the amazing dog show! The first fact we were told about Jock was that he got ten tennis balls in one morning walk and that was the biggest number he’d ever found!!

Mr Harper showed us how obedient Jock is and he fed him a piece of cheerio sausage.

Deakyn was afraid of dogs because he was attacked by one when he was little!! But when he met Jock he felt confident around him and now he is not afraid of dogs any more!! (Isn’t that neat?)

Next Leilani took Jock outside so Mr Harper could hide a tennis ball.

When Jock came back inside he was told to seek for the ball and guess what? - he found the ball in just 30 seconds.

Always ask the owner if it’s sweet to meet

Let the dog sniff and don’t you go stiff

Don’t show your teeth for the dog to see. Keep them hidden or you MIGHT get bitten

Never look a dog straight in the eyes or you might get a nasty surprise

If you pat dog on its head you may end up in a hospital bed
